We are very excited to welcome two new lab members today. Kara Lekuse is a third year Medicine undergraduate student carrying out her dissertation project with us. Angela Martinelli, from the University of Bologna, is visiting the lab for a few months to work on our genetic mapping projects.
We are delighted to announce we have awarded a research grant by the Scottish Funding Council in partnership with the Hong Kong Research Council. Our lab will be working in partnership with Prof Cammie McBride at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. With this project we will investigate the determinants of literacy development and handedness in a twin cohort. The bilinguism (English/Chinese) which characterises this cohort offers unique features for our genetic studies.
